Comments on the Invalid Proof of Einstein on L = Mc2 & E = Mc2 C. Y. Lo, David P. Chan, & Richard C. Y. Hui Applied and Pure Research Institute 15 Walnut Hill Rd., Amherst, NH 03031 Abstract It is shown that Einstein's proof for L = mc2, where L is the energy of an electromagnetic wave, is inconsistent with Maxwell's electromagnetism. Since the electromagnetic energy-stress tensor alone is incompatible with the energy of massless particles, the justification for photons as massless particles is beyond special relativity. Thus, his proof is incomplete, and becomes invalid when radiation energy L is changed to a general energy E. Experimentally, from π0 meson decay, it is verified that the photonic energy is equivalent to mass. Thus, the photons must include additionally a non-electromagnetic energy. In fact, it is the energy of related gravitational wave component; and the electromagnetic energy alone is not equivalent to mass. There are three types of experiments that confirm E = mc2 invalid. For instance, a piece of heated-up metal would reduce its weight.
