        What better way to celebrate summer than chill in a pool? That is exactly what the summer camp of YMCA planned for us on this hot day.

        It turned out that it was the smartest plan ever, because today was just hotter than hot. The water was cold, perfect for the conditions. And the 4th Street Pool had water slides! A small community pool in Lansdale that had water slides. How cool is that?! Unfortunately we only got to go on the one that kids span in giant circles. It was fun, but not nearly as much fun as the 2nd slide looked. The beginning was simple decline, which you gained acceleration on, then came to drop. When the slide ended, you fell 10 ft/3 meters and landed in the pool. We couldn't go on that one though, because we had to take a test and there wasn't time. But still we had plenty fun on the 1st slide.

        The time we spent at the pool had another bad side. Every thirty-ish minutes, we had to meet up and have a buddy check. Earlier, we were partnered up with a friend (mine was Alex, YEH!!!). At every buddy check, you partner finds you or vise versa to see that everybody is here. That ruined our otherwise perfect day, but nothing is really perfect.

        After we all dried, the group headed out back to the camp. We were told that our next trip to the pool was on Friday and there's one thing I definitely know. I'm sure looking forward to Friday.

        炎热天气里有什么比泡在清爽的戏水池内更能消暑纳凉﹖这正是基督教青年会夏令营计划之中要做的事情。

        的确，这可真是明智之举，因为今儿天气比较热，水温冷得正合时宜，况且“四街戏水池”里面还设有漂流！在宾州兰斯代尔社区小游泳池内玩漂流，很棒吧﹖﹗美中不足的是，大家只能围绕第一个漂流转大圆圈，虽说挺有意思，但远不及第二个漂流看上去那么带劲，它一开始有一段下坡供你加速，接着出现落差，最后你将跌入十英尺(三米)以下的池中。未经水性考试者不能尝试第二个漂流，而我们因为时间有限，只能享用第一个漂流。

        不管多好玩的活动都有不尽人意的地方，漂流也不例外。每隔卅几分钟，我们营员必须按照事先约定与自己的搭档碰头(谢天谢地，我的搭档是亚历克斯﹗﹗﹗)，其目的在于相互照应，明确彼此下落，正因如此，我们的玩兴常常被打断，否则今天完美无缺，当然世上根本没有真正的完美。

        我们擦干身体，一起返回营地。听说星期五还有水上活动，我深爱漂流，热切期待星期五的到来。
