        Summer pool parties are the best. The nice and cool water with the hot temperatures is accompanied with a BBQ of filet mignon, pork sirloin steak, cracker barrel chicken tenders/diced shrimps, grilled jumbo shrimps, marinated lamb chops, and home garden veggies. There were a lot more things to do than swimming, but relaxing in the water was the exclusive.

        That is until I started to go on the diving boards. The diving board was very springy. So springy that made kids leap 6-7 feet or 1.8-2.1 meters. In fact, a few tricksters did some fancy back flips. I knew that kind of skill eluded me, so I settled with a simple dive.

        The result was not how I planned. As I jumped, my feet slipped slightly. You know how I mentioned that the board was springy. Well, when I slipped, my dive turned into three quarters of a back flip. Obviously, I landed in the worst position and it felt like fire. At least it faded away before I headed for home. But one thing that isn't leaving is this message: Diving Boards Are Dangerous!

        夏季水上派对堪称上乘选择，凉爽宜人的池水对冲热辣焦躁的天气，户外烧烤野餐再精诚打造免翁牛柳、猪肉沙朗牛排、爆炸鸡脯虾块、清焙大虾、红烧羊排，配上自家种植的新鲜蔬菜，令人情趣横生。当然，尚有不少比游泳更叫劲的活动，但上善若水，水本身保持颐神养性的独特方式。

        直到玩起跳板跳水，我方才体验到别有一番感觉在心间。跳板弹性极大，正因如此，人们能够纵身飞出六七英尺／两米左右以远，有的老手甚至身怀绝技，善做高难度花样表演，后空翻扎猛入水，而我只会普通跳水，自娱自乐。

       可事与愿违，起跳瞬间，我的脚略微滑歪了一点，正如前面所说，跳板弹性很大，结果稍不留意，我后背倾斜错位入水，顿时浑身上下苦不堪言，好在回家之前痛楚减缓。不过从中我汲取教训：跳水板危险重重，绝不是闹着玩的地方！
