Maxwell distribution is normal distribution

Maxwell distribution is normal distribution in 3 dimensions. I just realize that.

This realization makes the derivation and memory of Maxwell distribution much easier. It also makes the whole kinetic theory of gas much easier to understand.

Why isn’t Maxwell distribution taught in this way? It will turn Maxwell distribution a simple exercise in a probability course.

Much of physics can be taught in simpler ways.
