        Let us fix portals, east and west,

        Abhorring green-blue north and blue-green south.

        Our chiefest dome a demoiselle of gold.

        Pierce the interior with pouring shafts,

        In diverse chambers.

        Pierce, too, with buttresses of coral air

        And purple timbers,

        Various argentines,

        Embossings of the sky.

【紅霞譯】

                我們該怎樣打磨太陽,

                切割成塊，

                建造紅色宮殿？

                如何雕飾紫羅蘭色月光

                嵌入切口？

                來修復東西方的門戶，

                擯棄綠藍色北方與藍綠色南方。

                首要穹頂如金色少女。

                用光軸穿過內部，

                遍及各個房間。

                也靠粉紅色空氣助力

                還有紫色木材，

                各種銀色工料。

                天空的浮雕。

【注】今天曼哈頓“弓島”金融區天高雲淡，因此我臨時起意登上位於松樹街70號64層的樓頂酒吧陽台，高空欣賞城市美貌。與其它觀景台不同，三五成群的來客大多是為了共享歲月靜好，而我則打着品酒的幌子獨賞都會風情。
