Shepherd is sheepherd Shepherd must be sheepherd. Shepherd is an enigma, at least to me. Sheepherd, on the other hand, is crystal clear. But the pronunciation of sheepherd is labored. Over time, sheepherd became shepherd. That is my guess. The rule of creation and the rule of daily use are different. To be truly creative, we must appreciate the rule of creation. |
