我对这十四行诗的理解：

第1句：主语绝对不是creatures， 而是 we；increase在 desire 之后是虚拟语气的用法，可以不用to 。我们向花神要求增加的是什么？ 下一句看当然是 rose。所以通篇是写玫瑰的。我读了两种译法，实在不敢苟同。于是产生自己翻译一遍的想法。

   我对这十四行诗的翻译

-----愿花仙多赐生蔷薇玫瑰，

-----要使美人不至永殉星河。

-----可是花开难免还要花落，

-----扎根总能生出娇枝嫩叶。

-----人们只看见美人的亮眼，

-----像燃着能量自足的焰火。

-----地处丰腴你却忍饥挨饿，

-----与己为敌残忍自我折磨。

-----成装扮世界的艺术之品，      

-----你是唯一的盛春的使者。

-----能以报春唯有繁花似锦，

-----脆弱未熟会被浪费挥霍，

-----怜悯这个世界且记勿贪，

-----只取己份不然下场如魔。
