1。弟兄们，我不愿意你们不晓得，我们的祖宗从前都在云下，都从海中经过。 
1. For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.

2. 都在云里海里受洗归了摩西。 
2. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.

 3. 并且都吃了一样的灵食。 
3. They all ate the same spiritual food

 4. 也都喝了一样的灵水。所喝的是出于随着他们的灵磐石。那磐石就是基督。  4. and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

刚刚过完红海的这些人，如上面的描述，那个时刻重生了没有？灵魂得救了没有？被神救赎了没有？为什么？

5. 但他们中间，多半是神不喜欢的人。所以在旷野倒毙。 
5. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert. 

6. 这些事都是我们的鉴戒，叫我们不要贪恋恶事，像他们那样贪恋的。 
6. Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 

7. 也不要拜偶像，像他们有人拜的。如经上所记，百姓坐下吃喝，起来玩耍。 
7. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry." 

8. 我们也不要行奸淫，像他们有人行的，一天就倒毙了二万三千人。 
8. We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did--and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.

 9. 也不要试探主，（主有古卷作基督）像他们有人试探的，就被蛇所灭。 
9. We should not test the Lord, as some of them did--and were killed by snakes. 

10. 你们也不要发怨言，像他们有发怨言的，就被灭命的所灭。 
10. And do not grumble, as some of them did--and were killed by the destroying angel. 

11. 他们遭遇这些事，都要作为鉴戒。并且写在经上，正是警戒我们这末世的人。 
11. These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 

12. 所以自己以为站得稳的，须要谨慎，免得跌倒。 12. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!
