Seriously I can pick his pieces apart almost every time and he knows that...but you don't know that, which is the difference between you and him as far as English is concerned.  He was, indeed, an English major and a diligent student.

Btw, I don't think I need to prove anything to anybody here.  Are you gonna propose, if Im able to parrot a few American cliches?   :-)   I have no interest, as I have very satisfying family life and my wife is perfectly healthy in all aspects :-)

Language is just a tool; the ability to speak understandable English is merely  a basic skill like driving safely.  If you're able to get from point a to point b safe and sound, you get the job done.  You show off only if you're a race car driver, right?
