昨天8.15，欧陆英国及一些美洲国家都是传统宗教假“圣母升天日”，在某些国家和地区这天也是历史传统的母亲节。这个视频说的是法国大城市及朝圣地Lourdes的人民在时下的恐怖危机中释放和平信息。短片最后显示的宏伟教堂，就是几周前殉难的老神父所在的主教区Rouen大教堂。其主殿净高就达到28米、塔尖151米，主建筑总长达144米（巴黎圣母院都只有127米长），是法国北部中世纪中后期及整个哥特时期大教堂建筑的代表作。该地区中世纪高大建筑遗产丰富，等有空再专门介绍：

这一天也是次大陆两兄弟印度、巴基斯坦共同庆祝的独立日。1947年的8月15日的子夜时分，当时还是统一的次大陆的领导人尼赫鲁宣布印度人民从此站起来了。他的独立演讲《Tryst with destiny - 命运的约定》，被公认是20世纪最伟大的演讲之一。以下视频是其最脍炙人口的开首一段，他的印度口音我听着很舒服啊呵呵！也可以看到老印自古在受尽压迫的年代仍有关爱全人类的精神境界：
