【网上搜寻，发现美国的国歌歌词竟无一个像样的中文译本（百度上给出的几个版本问题太多，其中多有对原文的理解错误）。在美国的油管（YouTube）上，可以找到很好的英译中国国歌和演奏。在世界文化交流融合的今天，这似乎不太对称。该歌词翻译的难点在于对原文的准确理解。余认真研究美国的国歌歌词原文，查阅歌词背景，反复斟酌，尝译之以补此欠缺。（作者保留汉译歌词版权）

翻译的第一版（现代诗歌版）， 我没有考虑到歌词的形式，而是尽量尊重原文同时考虑简洁押韵。歌词与诗词有所不同，很多人可能会忽略这点。比如，歌词要尽量避免语音上的歧义，因旋律一样，每段歌词最好有同样的结构和字数。歌词翻译难度更大，有时不得不对原文的意境略加修改。应朋友的要求，再翻译一个歌词版。

注：美国人一般只熟悉和演唱其国歌的第一段。第三段中的一句话（No refuge could save the hireling and slave……），有人认为有歧视的含义，应当修正。】
