據悉，加拿大簽證費用將從2009年10月1日起上調，新的人民幣收費標準由原來的701元人民幣調整為現在的775元人民幣。此外，加拿大簽證的審理速度也在不斷加快。對於加拿大留學的這些最新動態，專家們也從不同角度進行了解讀。
匯率波動和留學人數增多導致簽證費用上調
專家指出，簽證費用的上調主要由於兩方面的原因。一是各國使館根據匯率變化等因素，會在適當時間調整簽證費用。不過，每次調整不會在匯率波動很大的時候，一般都等匯率平穩之後才會加以調整。二是今年選擇加拿大留學的學生數量遠遠高於往年，使館的工作量相應增加因而上調了簽證費。
專家表示，雖然簽證費用有所上升，不過就目前形勢來看，由於人民幣的堅挺，加之加拿大整體學費、生活費都有所下降，因此這項變化對中國學生來說應該沒有太大影響。
加拿大留學提高簽證速度
據北京因私出入境行業協會秘書長、專家介紹，以往加拿大使館處理簽證速度比較慢，一般需要近2-3個月的時間。隨着中國赴加拿大留學學生數量的不斷增加，加拿大對學生簽證也逐漸開始重視。胡偉航表示，對於準備留學加拿大的學生來說，今後辦理加拿大簽證在遞交申請上將會非常的便利，而查詢申請狀態、領取簽證結果上也會大大縮短申請的周期，基本可以在4-6周左右，甚至最快的可以在20天內取得簽證結果。
