What does anti mean? Antipater , 'like the father'; c. 400 BC – 319 BC) was a Macedonian general and statesman under Alexander the Great. Anti is like in Greek, not against, as in English. In two connected languages, the same word sometimes represents opposite meanings. This might reflect conflicts between two groups of people in history. |
