Aging and degeneration of human organs
Aging is natural, but degeneration is reversible
1. Aging and degeneration are not the same thing
Aging is a natural process;
Degeneration is a human choice.
Aging is the irresistible force of time;
Degeneration is caused by long-term inactivity, lack of use, and neglect.
As we age, organ function slowly declines, which is a natural law;
But if some systems are not used for a long time due to modern lifestyles and are left "dormant", then that is a degeneration phenomenon caused by humans.
2. The "redundant design" of organs is never redundant
When the Creator designed the human body, he did not design it to be "just enough".
Every important life system has reserved sufficient "redundant functions":
• A pair of kidneys, only one is enough to maintain survival;
• The lungs only use about 15% of the total capacity when at rest;
• The heart can still support life even if the ejection fraction is halved;
• The liver can regenerate after two-thirds of it is removed;
• The bone, muscle, and brain capacity are also far beyond daily needs.
These "reserved capacities" are not for idleness, but for responding to sudden cold, hunger, running, infection, trauma, and stress.
This is the wisdom of the Creator, and it is the trump card against natural risks in primitive times.
But this trump card needs us to constantly awaken, mobilize, and use it to keep it active.
3. The lifestyle of modern society is "freezing" our organs
Industrialized, digitalized, and comfortable life no longer requires us to run, sweat, and avoid wild animals.
So:
• Sitting most of the time, leg muscles are weak for a long time;
• Breathing tens of thousands of times a day, but never taking a "deep breath";
• The heart has no rhythm changes, the lungs no longer expand to the bottom, and the kidneys no longer flush waste;
• The reserved functions of the organs sleep in "uselessness" and then atrophy.
Degeneration is never accompanied by pain - it is silent, but has far-reaching effects.
Once one day, the external environment changes and diseases strike, we have already lost the ability to cope.
IV. Conclusion: Use "awakening" to fight against degeneration
Our generation is standing at a turning point in human physiological history.
• We have unprecedented opportunities for longevity;
• We are also facing the risk of chronic degeneration due to inactivity, long-term sitting, and excessive eating.
You are never too old, nor too late. As long as you are willing to start "awakening".
