What other industry requires unaccompanied female (and male) agents to meet perfect strangers in empty houses? None. One would think this is a recipe for disaster. And it is.

Last night, authorities found the body of Arkansas real estate agent Beverly Carter, days after she vanished while showing a house to a prospective customer. Aaron Lewis, 33, has been apprehended and admitted to the kidnapping after being questioned by police, ABC News said.

This is not the first time an agent has been murdered, raped or assaulted while on the job. It happens all the time unfortunately.

我们公司Keller Williams 今天9/30/2014开会了，Broker告知了大家这件事，特别提醒大家要小心，并讲了几个Showing House 的技术性措施:

1. Show House （如 Open House）给陌生人时，要把他的车牌号用手机照下来，如果事先能让他把 Copy of Driver License 传过来/Email更好。

2. Show House给陌生人时，特别是在偏僻荒凉地区，不要把自己的车停在Show House 的 Driver way上，要停在房前的道路上，遇有异常情况，能马上驾车逃走。

3. Show House给陌生人时，要走在陌生人的后面，特别是在下地下室时，要走在陌生人的后面，一遇紧急情况，可以马上转身跑掉。

还有很多方法，以后大家可以再补充，总之让大家要小心加小心，因为做这个行业的很多是女性。
