生日的时候收到两个小人儿精心制作的几份小礼物，老大给我写的诗，还不忘提醒妈妈已人到中年了，咳！

To my mother, the one who is always there

The person with whom I will always have memories to share

I look up to you, to guide me and hold my hand

You must teach me to be on my own, to stand.

I remember when I was young, you were always close by

You still will be, when it’s time for me to say good-bye

All the memories we’ve shared, the laughs that we’ve had

All the pool games we’ve played, win or not we’re so glad

To play against each other in a friendly way

That we’re willing to play billiards all day!

Happy Birthday, Mom. You’re officially middle aged J

In this same year, I will become teenaged.

Won’t it be such fun teaching me how to drive,

I’m sure you would rather that than I learning how to skydive.

I understand that parenting isn’t exactly a walk in the park,

The process is like searching for glasses in the dark.

I will try to make things easier for you,

By helping you around the house, coming home by curfew.
