But  what Cox doesn’t know is that the unification of Taiwan is a must for  China, should China have united Taiwan early, Beijing wouldn't fall into  the current dilemma.  

The  biggest mistake Beijing has committed so far is it's continually blood  transfusion to Taiwan to the scale of roughly 200 billion US dollars  yearly, such that Taiwan has more than enough money to buy weapons and  foreign politicians to beat up China.

Why Beijing would have done that and are they crazy? Because of greed, in  this process those corrupted officials involved can all make a wealth of  it from their association with Taiwan businessmen.
