印裔美國路易斯安那州州長鮑比·金達爾，2016年共和黨潛在的一位總統候選人，猛烈抨擊中國的軍力建設，指出今天的美國面臨來自中國的最強大軍事挑戰。“就傳統軍事力量而言，美國面臨的最強大挑戰是中國。在過去20年裡，中國進行了大規模軍事建設，”金達爾在與美國前參議員Jim Talent合作撰寫的一份國防重要政策文件中寫道。在昨天提交的文件中，他概述了他的願景，稱他將把美國軍隊從奧巴馬總統所造成的破壞中拯救出來。

　　The USA should play as a true counter balancing power against the hegemony of China to dominate the entire world finally i.e. first in the region but next globally. The best way to do is by creating a multi-polar world i.e. strengthen India-Japan-Australia co-operation. China is a real threat for all the countries. India has a strong leader now and Modi can grow India as a multi-polar power. US MNCs shall invest heavily in India.

　　I am sure they would want to… we need to start producing things rather than import from China ourselves. Also, increasing manufacturing would require land and we would then start talking about not acquiring land from people owning that.. its a vicious cycle and that’s why we too buy from China
