十年前, 日子都是在中國度過的, 在家裡, 沒有聖誕, 只有過新年, 過春節… 

倒是記得那時每年的聖誕期間, 如果因工作需要聯繫公司在美國總部的人, 幾乎是妄想. 

來美國後的最初幾年, 幾乎每年的聖誕節期間, 開車去公司或回家的路上, 從車的收音機里總會傳來卡朋特的一首歌 Merry Christmas, Darling . 

記得在高中的時候, 我哥哥給了我一盤卡朋特的磁帶, 我每天如痴如醉地聽她的歌. 裡面有 Yesterday Once More, Close to You, etc 不過還沒有聽過這首有關聖誕的歌. 

以後每年的聖誕, 我就會想到這首歌 …
