Hey Jude 是甲壳虫乐队的经典曲目之一.当John Lennon 与Cynthia离婚后,他们年幼的儿子Julian面对这种变故闷闷不乐,乐队另一位成员Paul McCartney特意为Julian写了这首歌,用来鼓励他勇敢地面对未来.这首歌后来被人们认为爱与和平的演绎,最后那20遍"Hey Jude"的重复更是感人肺腑.

其实这首歌原来以Hey Jules命名,Jules是Julian的简称,在录音时,Paul觉得Jules这个名字唱起来不顺口,就改成了Jude. 而提到名字,John Lennon 的母亲名字叫Julia, 在John Lennon 18岁时,Julia 因车祸逝去,母子情深的John Lennon决定以第一个孩子的名字来纪念她,生女孩子叫Julia, 生男孩子叫Julian.

另外,这首歌有两个小花絮,第一是在大约第50秒时,我们开始听到Ringo Starr精彩的击鼓声,但在1994年的采访中, Paul McCartney回忆说其实开始录音时,Ringo Starr并不在位而是去了离鼓不远的洗手间,演奏中,Paul McCartney只觉得有人从身后快速地赶来,还没有反映过来是谁时,鼓声就响起来了...

第二是在2分58秒时,仔细听能够听到John Lennon 因将和音唱错而爆出了一句粗口,"????ing hell",这样一个明显的错误,结果避过了监制,录音师等而成为最终发行的版本,至今好像依然是一个迷.
