An Imagined Dyson Sphere

I somehow found a quantum telescope to test my theory that entangled particles could transmit data instantaneously, no matter the distance. I couldn't wait to peer into the universe's most enigmatic and inaccessible regions in real time.


Yes, I meant to take a good look at the supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A* (read as "Sagittarius A-star"), at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Its immense gravitational pull and the chaotic environment around it made traditional observation methods nearly impossible.

There it was. My quantum telescope revealed not just the swirling mass of gas and dust but something entirely unexpected: a structure that appeared to be artificial. I stared in disbelief at the images of a vast, complex array of seemingly manufactured constructs orbiting the black hole.

What a Dyson Sphere!

I was, of course, referencing the hypothetical megastructure that could capture a star's energy output, as postulated by physicist Freeman Dyson in his 1960 paper "Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infrared Radiation." A Dyson Sphere had to be a signature of a spectacularly advanced alien civilization, which, unbelievably, signaled me back---
