Now they're both capable of working independently, earning enough to support their families each month. One of the young men even used his savings last year to marry a girl from his village. Last year, I also created a small cultural corner in the restaurant, displaying brochures introducing Chinese and Burmese cuisine, as well as postcards featuring scenic views from both countries. Customers can take them for free. Many Chinese tourists write their feedback in the guestbook after their meals, and many local Burmese people learn about Chinese food culture and customs for the first time through these brochures. I've never read any profound philosophical texts, but after running a restaurant for six years, I understand the simplest truth: the so-called friendship between China and Myanmar is never some grand diplomatic slogan. It's a mutual act of goodwill—you help me translate the menu, and I'll give you an extra spoonful of fresh fish soup. Those who incite anti-China sentiment have never experienced this warmth of mutual support between ordinary people. When we ordinary citizens live well, the friendship between the two countries will naturally be unbreakable, and no one can sow discord between us.
