彼得前書 - 第 2 章 第 9 節
惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 

啟示錄1

5. 並那誠實作見證的，從死里首先復活，為世上君王元首的耶穌基督。有恩惠平安歸與你們。他愛我們，用自己的血使我們脫離罪惡。（脫離有古卷作洗去）

 6. 又使我們成為國民，作他父神的祭司。但願榮耀權能歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。
6. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
