讓禱告來承托生活每一部分，我立即想起要祈求的是?
25:21 以撒懇求神賜他兒女，聖經也鼓勵我們為自己個人的事和重要的事向神懇求。
神希望應我們所求，但神要我們向他祈求。不過有時神可能暫時不應允我們的禱告，
目的是要：（1）使我們更認識自己真正的需要；（2）使我們更曉得感謝他；（3）
使我們更加成熟，更有智慧運用他的賞賜。
以掃為了一些微不足道的事而忽略了屬靈的福分；我又怎樣？
25:31-34 長子名分是給頭生兒子的特別尊榮，包括將來成為族長並承繼家族的雙
份產業。長子可以按照自己的意願，出賣或放棄這個名分，但這樣他會失去雙份產
業和領袖地位。以掃出賣長子名分，顯出他無視屬於長子的屬靈福分，實際上他輕
看了長子名分（25:34）。
勝過短暫的壓力，是克服試探的關鍵。但有時真難忍受，不知道怎辦好
25:32-33 以掃為眼前的一點食物，而出賣他長子名分的永遠福分。這是衝動的行
為，只為滿足暫時的欲望，而沒有考慮長遠的後果。我們也會跌入同樣的陷阱中。
當我們看到某些渴望擁有的東西時，第一個衝動就是要得到它。開頭我們會感到滿
足，有時甚至覺得自己滿有能力，因為我們能得到自己想要得到的東西。但即時的
滿足往往叫我們失去長遠的眼光。不過，只要我們在行動之前比較一下短期的滿足
感和它的長遠後果，我們就能避免重蹈以掃的覆轍。
以掃把肚子餓的情況誇大了，覺得自己快要餓死，這種看法使他很容易作出錯
誤的選擇，即如果他快要餓死，得到產業又有甚麼好處？他目前所受的壓力影響了
他的想法，以為要立刻作出抉擇。我們也會常常受到類似的壓力。例如，當我們欲
火焚身時，婚姻的誓言就似乎顯得不重要了。當我們覺得某方面的壓力大，其他的
事情似乎不再重要時，就容易失去理性。勝過這短暫的壓力，是克服試探的關鍵。

雅各和以掃出生（25：19－26）
1. 以撒的“記”始於25：19，指出他是亞伯拉罕的兒子，在40
歲時成了利百加的丈夫（19：20）。
2. 利百加如撒拉一樣不生育，但以撒不同於他的父親，他“為
她祈求耶和華”。神就答應了他的禱告，奇妙地（超自然地）
使利百加懷了孕（25：21）。
3. 令利百加驚異的是：她懷了雙子，而且他們在她腹中就彼此
相爭。象丈夫以撒一樣，她求問了耶和華，耶和華也回答了
她（25：22－23）。
神的預言指明重要的兩點：
1) 每個孩子都將成為一國之父。
2) “自然順序”將要翻轉，大的（以掃）將要服事小
的（雅各）。

4. 雙子出生時以撒年60歲。兩個孩子出生和命名的經過都預示

毛；後產的是雅各（意為“抓住腳踝的人”）。雅各雖小，
卻將不止一次地絆倒其兄（25：24－26）。
5. 甚至兩人的事業也預示着將要發生的事。因為以掃善於打獵
（對照寧錄，創10：8－9），他□的野味就在他一生中起了
重要作用。以撒愛吃他打的野味，就喜歡以掃。
而雅各喜歡在帳棚里陪伴母親，因此“利百加愛雅各”
（25：27－28）。這種偏愛就助長了家庭衝突。
6. 二人性格和氣質上的不同將逐漸明顯起來。
以掃是個感情衝動的人，肉體的欲望使得他魯莽愚昧、
目光短淺。雅各則是一個機智的投機家，對於占哥哥的便宜
從來覺得問心無愧。
雅各並沒有欺騙以掃，讓他賣掉長子名分，好得雙份的
產業，只不過占了哥哥肉體軟弱的便宜（見何12：3－4）。
以掃更關心自己的胃口，而忽略了遠比此更有價值的東西。
換句話說，他看不到肚皮之外的東西，他看自己的胃口高過
（“輕看”）長子名分（25：29－34）。
