When God created human beings he gave them the task of exercising rule over the created order. God's word was the means by which Adam interpreted the knowledge which he gained through nature.
Sin confused the process of gaining knowledge because rebellious Adam refused to interpreter reality of God's word.
God choose Israel as the people through whom he would restore true wisdom to mankind.
Within the history of God's covenant with Israel, wisdom began to emerge as a self-conscious human activity. It related to the way the people of God learned to act and think, and to teach their children. .
Wisdom began in the earliest times but flourished under David and Solomon.
Israel's wisdom matured at the end of the historical period of God's revelation of his kingdom.
