先作什麼，後作什麼？

‘解放派’人士，如‘STEELER’弟兄，認為先要幫助窮人，
因為幫助窮人比管好下半身重要，比墮胎重要，大家覺得
什麼事重要？

我自己覺得，象 CLINTON 總統的SPIRITUAL ADVISER，
REV。 JESSE JACKSON對黑人小朋友們的同情心不會比
一般民眾更多。

其實，‘解放派’人士的想法是當今社會的思潮，關健的
問題是如何來實施這樣美好的想法。

For me as evangelical liberal, it’s true that Jesus
made it absolutely clear that matters sexual [abortion, homosexuality, divorce]
are not top list, but poverty and the growing unequal distribution of income
and wealth are.

Christians in the United States spent $15.7 billion on new church construction
alone in the six years between 1984 and 1989. 30,000 children under the
age of 5 die every day from totally preventable causes stemming from life
in extreme poverty. The number one cause is diarrhea. Diarrhea is the number
one cause of death for children in poverty.
Would we go on building lavishly furnished expensive church buildings if
members of our own congregations were starving?
Do we not flatly contradict Paul (in 1 Cor. 11) if we live as if African
or Latin American Christians are not also part of Christ's one body along
with those in our home congregation?
Is this the way to show God's heart for the poor? It is an abortion of the
values of Jesus of Nazareth for there to be “rich Christians in an age
of poverty.” Shame on the church for such a terrible representation of
such a good man.

I was not bad mouth to Christians.
I was just trying to say that Christians = sinners.
They are forgiven and have everlasting life. They are not responsible for
their own sinful actions.
Jesus invited two criminals on the cross to go to heaven with him. :)
