你要寫信給老底嘉教會的使者，說，那為阿們的，為誠信真實見證的，在神創造萬物之上為元首的，說，And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

在關於歌羅西書1：15-18的論述，我們已經明確聖子不屬於“所有受造物”這個
範疇的。這裡的the beginning of the creation of God不可以翻譯成“最先
被上帝創造的”，應該翻譯成“上帝創造的起始”，因為“萬有都是借着他
造的”嘛。這裡的起始(the beginning)不屬於上帝創造物這個範疇。如果聖子
屬於被造物的話，那應該說the first one of the creation of God。

結論：這段經文也不是說聖子是被造的，是說他在創世時的獨特地位，他是創
世的開端，起始，他不是創世的產品，因為“他在萬有之先，萬有也靠他而立
”(西1：17)。“萬有”不能靠着“萬有”中的一個而立，因為這個被依靠的要是
屬於這“萬有” 中的一個的話，那這個“萬有”就不是“萬有”。
