21:1 [hgb] 耶和華按着先前的話、眷顧撒拉、便照他所說的給撒拉成就。

[kjv] And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
[bbe] And the Lord came to Sarah as he had said and did to her as he had undertaken.
21:2 [hgb] 當亞伯拉罕年老的時候、撒拉懷了孕．到　神所說的日期、就給亞伯拉罕生了一個兒子。
[lzz] 當亞伯拉罕年老的時候、撒拉懷了孕；到上帝所對他說到的時節就給亞伯拉罕生了一個兒子。
[kjv] For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
[bbe] And Sarah became with child, and gave Abraham a son when he was old, at the time named by God.
21:3 [hgb] 亞伯拉罕給撒拉所生的兒子起名叫以撒。
[lzz] 亞伯拉罕給撒拉為他所生的兒子起名叫以撒。
[kjv] And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
[bbe] And Abraham gave to his son, to whom Sarah had given birth, the name Isaac.
21:4 [hgb] 以撒生下來第八日、亞伯拉罕照着　神所吩咐的、給以撒行了割禮。
[lzz] 亞伯拉罕的兒子以撒生下來八天、亞伯拉罕就給他行了割禮，照上帝所吩咐他的。
[kjv] And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
[bbe] And when his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham made him undergo circumcision, as God had said to him.
21:5 [hgb] 他兒子以撒生的時候、亞伯拉罕年一百歲。
[lzz] 他兒子以撒生的時候，亞伯拉罕正一百歲。
[kjv] And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
[bbe] Now Abraham was a hundred years old when the birth of Isaac took place.
21:6 [hgb] 撒拉說、　神使我喜笑、凡聽見的必與我一同喜笑。
[lzz] 撒拉說∶「上帝使我喜笑；凡聽見的也必為了我而喜笑。」
[kjv] And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
[bbe] And Sarah said, God has given me cause for laughing, and everyone who has news of it will be laughing with me.
21:7 [hgb] 又說、誰能預先對亞伯拉罕說、撒拉要乳養嬰孩呢、因為在他年老的時候、我給他生了一個兒子。
[lzz] 又說∶「誰能對亞伯拉罕說，撒拉要乳養兒女呢？在他年老的時候、我竟給他生了一個兒子！」
[kjv] And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
[bbe] And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would have a child at her breast? for see, I have given him a son now when he is old.

神能成就不可能的事。我知道，也明白，但好像總有些地方捨不得交託給神……
21:1-7　誰會相信亞伯拉罕到一百歲，還能生孩子，並把他撫養成人呢？但做“不可能的事”是神每天的例行工作。當我們面對重大問題時，只要讓神來處理就易如反掌了。

要信靠神的應許！說就容易，有時我實在怕得太厲害了……
21:6-7　神重申應許、兩位使者到訪和主親自顯現後，撒拉終於帶著驚喜歡呼生下了兒子。她曾經因懷疑、憂慮、懼怕而失去在神奇妙應許中的平安。要使愁煩變為平安喜樂，惟一的方法就是專注於神的應許上，相信他必會成就他的應許。

以撒出生（21：1－7）
11. 恐怕直到“耶和華照他所說的給撒拉成就”，使撒拉懷孕之
後，亞伯拉罕和撒拉對應許之子的信心才真正堅固起來（21：
1）。
12. “到神所說的日子”，以撒出生了。亞伯拉罕和撒拉為孩子
起名叫以撒（“他喜笑”）並在第八日行割禮；在此顯明了他
們的信心。當時亞伯拉罕100歲，撒拉90歲。此時的笑是因
着喜樂，因神成就了不可能之事（21：2－7），應許之子降
生了。
