Dear Pastors and Coworkers,

I know many churches are praying for the New Orleans flood and some churches are trying to support the needs of the churches there. Here I am privileged to share with you a chance to participate in this ministry:

Joe Gang Zhou, a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, was attending the Overseas Chinese Christian Ministers' Conference 2005 in Chicago from August 25 to 28. He could never know that he was stuck here because of the Katrina hurricane and the flood. He left almost all his stuff in New Orleans including passport, I-20, and laptop, only bringing his Student ID, driver's license, and a few books with him. He cannot go back to New Orleans for at least three or four months (one semester) since the school is in a deep flood area. Thank God for His leading Trinity Evangelical Divinity School accepted him as a transferring student in MDiv program to continue his study. He will start his classes tomorrow.

Joe is a promising student with a clear calling from God to be equipped as a theological trainer in the future. Obviously he has some needs at this special period (the tuition of Trinity is much higher than his previous school: $6000 Vs $1500). If you or your church have burden to support Joe, you may send your check to my office since he stays with us recently. You may write "Joe Gang Zhou" on your check if you do not need a tax-exempt letter. If you do please write "CLPI" instead and put a note in Memo to support Joe Zhou.
