2000 years ago, if you ask a Jews teacher about the OT “ Did God create the world in 6 days, less than 10000 years ago? Can we eat pork or internal Organ/blood of animals.” They would assure you, “No, those words in OT are affirmative and should be carried words by words.

2000 years later, if you asked a Christian Priest again the same question, possibly they will tell you “Oh, it is just a figurative writing. Figurative, you know, is used to make a complex issue easier to understand.”

Four hundreds years ago, if you asked a Christian Pastor whether it is affirmative or figurative when the Bible said that we are the center of the universe and our earth is flat and square, you would for sure get the answer that yes, it is affirmative that we are the center of universe and our earth is flat and square. The pastor would probably tell you with an assertive tone that “Yes, God created this earth less than 10000 years ago and Yes, the big flood do exists.”

Four hundreds years later, if you asked them the same questions again, possibly, they will tell you “Oh, it is just a figurative writing. Figurative, you know, is used to make a complex issue easier to understand.”

This list can go on and on until I run out of my steam and you, the JDTs out of your patience. So, my question for you, the JDTS, are
“when can you learn from those ignominious failure in the history and accept the fact that a lot more in the bible could be just figurative? Why can’t you forget about those mighty deeds, most of them could just be proved to be figurative too, conducted by your God---The big floor, the destroying of a city, the killing in Egypt…. Why can’t you simply forget all of them and simply focus one the single word, the word that actually makes your religion strong in this modern society, the word LOVE.”
