[kjv] And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
[bbe] And I will give her a blessing so that you will have a son by her: truly my blessing will be on her, and she will be the mother of nations: kings of peoples will be her offspring.
17:17 [hgb] 亚伯拉罕就俯伏在地喜笑、心里说、一百岁的人、还能得孩子么．撒拉已经九十岁了、还能生养么。

[kjv] Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
[bbe] Then Abraham went down on his face, and laughing, said in his heart, May a man a hundred years old have a child? will Sarah, at ninety years old, give birth?

[kjv] And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

17:19 [hgb] 　神说、不然、你妻子撒拉要给你生一个儿子、你要给他起名叫以撒、我要与他坚定所立的约、作他后裔永远的约。

[kjv] And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
[bbe] And God said, Not so; but Sarah, your wife, will have a son, and you will give him the name Isaac, and I will make my agreement with him for ever and with his seed after him.
17:20 [hgb] 至于以实玛利、我也应允你、我必赐福给他、使他昌盛极其繁多、他必生十二个族长、我也要使他成为大国。

[kjv] And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
[bbe] As for Ishmael, I have given ear to your prayer: truly I have given him my blessing and I will make him fertile and give him great increase; he will be the father of twelve chiefs, and I will make him a great nation.
17:21 [hgb] 到明年这时节、撒拉必给你生以撒、我要与他坚定所立的约。
[lzz] 论到我的约，我是要同以撒坚立的约；以撒就是明年这时节撒拉所要给你生下来的。」
[kjv] But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
[bbe] But my agreement will be with Isaac, to whom Sarah will give birth a year from this time.
17:22 [hgb] 　神和亚伯拉罕说完了话、就离开他上升去了。

[kjv] And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
[bbe] And having said these words, God went up from Abraham.
17:23 [hgb] 正当那日、亚伯拉罕遵着　神的命、给他的儿子以实玛利和家里的一切男子、无论是在家里生的、是用银子买的、都行了割礼。
[lzz] 就在这一天，亚伯拉罕就照上帝所对他说的，拉了他的儿子以实玛利和家中的男人，一切男子，就是所有在家里生的、和所有用银子买的，都在他们包皮肉上给行了割礼。
[kjv] And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
[bbe] And Abraham took Ishmael, his son, and all whose birth had taken place in his house, and all his servants whom he had made his for a price, every male of his house, and on that very day he gave them circumcision in the flesh of their private parts as God had said to him.

信心，就是让我在乌云盖天时，仍知云后是阳光……
17:17-27　亚伯拉罕和妻子撒拉已经年纪老迈，叫他们生孩子，实在难以置信。亚伯拉罕虽因信心蒙神称义，但要他相信神这个应许也是困难的；不过，他还是照著神的吩咐去行了（17:22-27）。可见，即使信心之父也会有怀疑的时候。当你开始怀疑神的引导时，要效法亚伯拉罕，专注于神实现他应许的承诺，并继续顺服他。

撒莱改名（17：15－21）
16. 作为约的一部分，神给撒莱改名为撒拉（意为“公主”），
可能是表明她是多国和多王之母的地位（17：15－16）。

17. 神再次坚立他的特别的应许：“我必使你从她得一个儿子”
（17：16，21）。

18. 亚伯拉罕的反应是“喜笑”（怀着不信之心的大笑），因为
当那个孩子出生的时候，他将是100岁，而撒拉将是90岁了。

亚伯拉罕的顺服（17：22－27）

13岁，亚伯拉罕99岁。

21. 这一举动说明了亚伯拉罕的信心和顺服。一年后，以撒出生
（17：21）。一个合理的猜测是：撒拉怀孕是在亚伯拉罕行
割礼之后；强调应许之子的出生是超自然的，是通过信心而
来的。
因此，割礼代表属灵──靠信心（以撒），而未受割礼
代表自然──靠肉体（以实玛利）。
神确实是行奇事的神；他在信守他的誓约时无所不能。
