[lzz] 我要叫你指着永恒主、天之上帝、地之上帝、来起誓，不要从迦南人、就是我住在他们中间的迦南人中为我儿子娶妻。
[ngb] 我要你指着耶和华天地的　神起誓，不可从我现在居住的迦南人中，为我的儿子娶他们的女子为妻。
[asv] And I will make thee swear by Jehovah, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that thou wilt not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell.
[kjv] And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
[bbe] And take an oath by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not get a wife for my son Isaac from the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I am living;
24:4 [hgb] 你要往我本地本族去、为我的儿子以撒娶一个妻子。

[ngb] 你却要到我的故乡、我的亲族那里去，为我的儿子以撒娶妻。”

24:5 [hgb] 仆人对他说、倘若女子不肯跟我到这地方来、我必须将你的儿子带回你原出之地么。

[asv] And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land. Must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

24:7 [hgb] 耶和华天上的主、曾带领我离开父家和本族的地、对我说话向我起誓、说、我要将这地赐给你的后裔．他必差遣使者在你面前、你就可以从那里为我儿子娶一个妻子。
[lzz] 天上之上帝永恒主、那会带领我离开我父的家和亲族之地、曾对我说话、曾向我起誓说∶『我要将这地赐给你后裔』的，他必差遣他的使者在你前面，你就可以从那里为我儿子娶妻。

24:8 [hgb] 倘若女子不肯跟你来、我使你起的誓就与你无干了、只是不可带我的儿子回那里去。
[lzz] 倘若女子不情愿跟你来，我叫你起的誓就与你无干；只不可带我儿子回那里去就是了。
[ngb] 如果那女子不愿跟你来，我叫你所起的这誓就与你无关了。只是不可带我的儿子回到那里去。”
[asv] And if the woman be not willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath. Only thou shalt not bring my son thither again.

[bbe] And if the woman will not come with you, then you are free from this oath; only do not take my son back there.
24:9 [hgb] 仆人就把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿底下、为这事向他起誓。

把手放在别人的大腿下，是个甚么样的习俗？
24:2, 9　按照当时的习俗，把手放在别人的大腿下，是表明跟对方订立协议或是认可公约，正如我们现在握手、起誓、或者在公证人面前签署文件一般。

亚伯拉罕将婚姻与信仰结合的态度，会否仍适合现代社会？
24:4　亚伯拉罕希望以撒娶同族的女子为妻，这是当时普遍的做法，避免与异教徒通婚。当时，娶妻的事通常是由父母来拣选和作决定的，女子十多岁就出嫁，但利百加可能年纪较大。

亚伯拉罕坚持在神为他命定的地方来抉择人生，我选择的是……
24:6　亚伯拉罕要以撒留在迦南地，却不要他娶当地女子为妻。这与夏甲为她的儿子以实玛利娶妻形成强烈的对比（21:21）。叫以撒留在迦南、结婚生子，或者让他回去在亲族之中娶一个妻子，都比较容易，不过亚伯拉罕顺服神的旨意──他所命定的人、他所拣选的地方。让我们也在各方面完全地顺服神吧！

5. 神在一切事上赐福亚伯拉罕（24：1）。亚伯拉罕也知道该是
为儿子以撒娶妻的时候了，但他不要儿子娶周围迦南地的女
子（24：2－3）。神不愿希伯来人与异族通婚（见申7：1
－4）。

6. 为了执行神的指示，亚伯拉罕让他的管家起誓“往我本地本
族去，为我的儿子以撒娶一个妻子”（24：4）。

7. 当仆人询问：若所定的女子不肯跟他来时，是否可以带以撒

回来，仆人也不能带以撒回去，这样仆人就起了誓（24：8
