Romans 5:12, 这就如罪是从一人入了世界, 死又是从罪来的, 于是死就临到众人, 因为众人都犯了罪.
God knows fully well that this cosmos must be ravaged by death. Why? God forknows that Adam will rebel against God, entrapping all mankind into sin and death. Thus God designed this cosmos to be temporary and smitten by the sting of death before it even came to existence. Death is necessarily designed into this cosmos a priori.
Similarly, Jesus died for ALL man's sin, albeit at a fixed space time in human history. Jesus died for Abraham, David, Daniel, Peter, Paul, you and me. Jesus' one time sin offering is good for every man who has ever called onto the name of the Lord, no matter when that person lived, before or after Christ's earthly walk. The epoch-breaking event of Jesus' crucifixion (and subsequent resurrection) has all-encompassing effect. Likewise, Adam's rebellion at a fixed point in human history has all-encompassing effect. Death becomes the keynote of this cosmos, even while God designed it.
Fortunately, God has foreordained an antidote for this all-encompassing death, that is new life in Christ. In this sense, life is a stronger keynote of this cosmos. Eternal life will become the only keynote in the cosmos to come, apart from death which will be the keynote of hell.
