The bird everybody is talking about (see XXYN's article).

I know a bird close to it. Its English name is Albatross. When on the ground, it is as big as a goose. But its wings are 3 meters long when opened. When flying, it is like a glide. Actually, glides are invented by imitating albatross.

Albatrosses rarely land. Because their wings are so heavy compared with the body, it is easy for other animals and humans to catch them. So they basically fly, fly and fly, in areas with few inhabitants. Guess where??

The Antartic!!

I just came back from a trip to New Zealand and took some pictures of them. It was a great experience. It looks as though their wings do not move at all, but they fly so fast that it is very difficult to take a picture. Imagine a goose flying with 3 meter wings wide open, and still, stable.
