It is New Year’s Eve. It is the first time I spend it without family or friends. But I am happy,
Since I know you are with me, you are in my heart. And I don’t want to share with anybody else tonight.
When I was walking back from Office, I smiled all the time because I am thinking of you, and I know I will see you soon.
Do you still remember that summer day? I had told you that I had a dream of traveling around the country by bicycling, three of us. That day, we had a try. We rode a two-seat bicycle along the East Lake the whole day. It was a sunny day, we took near three hours to take a round of half of the lake, but she was not content, and we rode more, till it was time to leave. She is so brave, our little girl, she even tried to ride the bike by herself with two of us on it. When she saw somebody was flying down from a small plane, she also wanted to try if they permit children to fly by themselves. She was smiling all the time, so excited and so happy. So did we.
That summer day, now it comes to me so suddenly. And most of the time, two of us rode the bicycle, and when I was tired, it is you who is always carrying on.
We are a family, since we all love sports. When I was at home, usually in the afternoon after she comes back from school, we go to the playground, jogging, playing badminton, swimming.. or just seeing her bicycling or skating. She is so brave, she is the first one of those in her age who can ride and ride so fast. She never cries when she stumbles, even when she was hurt. You teach her doing sports, I teach her painting. And she teach us how to be happy-since when you are with her, you can’t help smiling.
We know she is not so smart, but it doesn’t matter. All we hope is that she is always happy and makes people surround her happy. All we hope is that she feels happy even when she is grown up and lives by herself.
When you saw me off at the airport, she cried so sadly, I know she was heartbroken, since she did not answer my call for a long time. You say she did not want to talk with me because I did not take her with me to the US. Luckily she is a child, she forgot it soon.
Now I am waiting for your coming to resume my dream—this time, three of us will drive around the country, seeing as many places and making as many funs. Our family will reunite, and we will be happy whatever is waiting for us, since we are a family.
Please come on. Don’t let me down.
