a lot of you should have watched the game against NJN last nite. from the game we can all see Yao11 is not a game factor last nite.

after the recent games, i got the following thoughts:

1. the statistics does not mean the whole things. from the game we can see how many rebounds his teammates got while he is blocking the opponents. this is like everybody else is stealing his data:) Yao11 is still a big big factor of this Rockets team.

2. Sura does not like to pass the ball to him. personally i do not like this player, and one day more Sura in the team, one more day Yao11 will be toutured! Sura is too ambisiouse, and selfish, we can see this from his last year's per????ance. he is that sort of the guy: i will get my stats first, then put the game in win!

3. his play style has problems. being a "so called" dominent center, his home should be the paint area of both ends. his job is to score as close as possible to the basket, and to defend the basket. now we have seen him toooo many times passing the ball instead of shooting the ball without hesitation; we have seen him toooo many times to rotate to the outer 3pt line to assist defense; we have seem him toooo many times to pick n' roll.

4. the coach, JVG seems lost control of the team, and now his team is playing freestyle. no matter what, a big center as Yao11 only got about 10-15 shots are toooo less. with his size, and shooting percentage, his shot attempts should be easily around 20/game.

5. Yao11 will never be a leader. his personality, his concentration, and mental power is toooo soft. from his missing the last 2 free throws, we can see this clearly. like lotz of us, he is using little smart to play the ball. he is not the guy you can always count on at the critical time like MJ. i hope one day he can play as a gangster:) btw, the best chinese male athelete i ever see is Liu Xiang, if Yao11 has his mental power, Yao11 will be more aggressive by now:)

6. Yao11 needs rest toooo much, he is tooo tired, and wasting a lot of his energy in running up and down useless, and pick n' roll. for 3 years NBA training i still did not see him potentially play 40+ mins per game. right now, a lot of his turnovers, and losing defense postion is because of this!

7. Yao11 may become a all star center, but he can never reach the level somebody thought that he can change the game. so far from 20 years watching NBA, only MJ, and Shaq achieve that.

maybe this Rocket team is not Yao11's final destination. i will not be suprised if he signs or being traded to another team.
