看這勢頭是老黑對其他族裔。NBA想挽回人氣,要是拿白人說事,負面影響太大,作為亞裔的小林,是最好的材料了。沒準過兩年,小林是民權英雄了,呵呵。 GOTCHA_MEDIA33 minutes ago Let me make a suggestion to the NBA. To combat the lack of racial diversityin the league, there should be a minimum number of yearly draft picks reserved for non-Black players. In other words, Affirmative Action in sports. If AA is required in higher education, business, and employment practices, then why not in sports. Non-Black athletes are vastly underrepresented in most professional sports in America. This will prevent any claim of discrimination. I am sure no one will have a problem with that. Reply1 reply+1 LINFANS26 minutes ago Ivy schools give blacks and latinos privilege in order to maintain racial balance. NBA should certainly do something similar. Hopefully this report is a start. Reply0 NARO102 hours ago whites and Asians need not apply to NBA. It is a racist disgusting organization. Boycott basketball unless whites are represented in their proportion in the population. Reply2 replies+2 NOBIGDEAL2 hours ago A major way of getting to the NBA is to play from the time you are little and play a lot. Do you really think that the reason the NBA is probably less than 20% white is because of racism? Reply1 reply0 NARO101 hour ago The preponderance of black players in prima facia evidence of deep racism and discrimination. The same applies in college basketball. Just ask any civil right lawyer. PERNY2 hours ago Here is the statistics for all PG: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/byposition?pos=PG&sort=25&qualified=0&conference=NBA& year=season_2012 Reply0 PERNY2 hours ago Lin has been a key component of the young Rockets team. Despite the fact that he is recovering from a knee injury, forced change to his play style, and effectively being in his second year in NBA, he has done very well and continues to improve. Compare him with the top PG in their 2nd year, you will see how good he is. His contribution is beyond statistics. He is a team player, getting everyone involved, just exciting to watch. Rocket is lucky to have him. Reply+1 LINFANS3 hours ago Lin gets a NBA average salary, and does his job better than most NBA players. There is nothing overrated or complained. Why is Lin always on the news title? This is another issue. Lin becomes famous because of his stories instead of basket ball skills. Many Lin fans follow NBA, although they do not really like basketball. Many writers comment Lin's stories without true interests in basketball. Please relax and stop to be jealous of Lin. Reply0 MS_ SPARXX4 hours ago Perhaps at the time of the 2011 NBA draft LIn was at best an"okay" basketball player but being "okay' is not enough to be drafted to the NBA. Anyway, why is he complaining, he's in the NBA now. Reply2 replies+1 DROPPINGKNOWLEDGE4 hours ago If you watch the video, he's answering questions about his college recruitment. 60 minutes is clearly trying to cover his overall experience as a basketball player, not just the NBA. He's actually talked about this many times, even admitted that it wasn't only because he's Asian, but does think race/ethnicity played a factor. He's not the only one either. Rex Walters, Joe Lacob, and many more people have criticized the way he was recruited and overlooked. The segment so far, which is about 1:46 minutes long is just a preview. We also don't know how it was edited either. Reply+1 OUTSPOKENTRUTH2 hours ago He's not complaining. He's merely pointing out the ignorance and racism that exists for asian americans potentials. Reply0 COUNT YOB5 hours ago His Asian ethnicity was probably deemed a plus for the Knicks because they wanted to increase the Asian audience. He was a new addition with a lot of enthusiasm and he did well at first until the opposing teams figured him out. Reply+2 LIC__YUPPIE5 hours ago does he mention he's average at best? that the rockets probably regret offering him that contract? Reply6 replies+1 NYC CABBIE5 hours ago Oh c'mon, he's no superstar but he's way above average if you look at the numbers. Fantasy league numbers don't lie! LOL Reply+1 LINFANS5 hours ago Lin is better than most NBA player and deserves every penny in his payroll. Haters go to hell. Reply1 reply0 JCOLE9255 hours ago Jeremy numbers are below average for any "starting" pg in the league. Against the elite and established PG's his numbers are horrible. +2 DROPPINGKNOWLEDGE4 hours ago Jeremy Lin's USG rating % is also well below any other elite PGs in the league. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/position/pg/sort/usageRate Reply+2 TIMYEUNG3 hours ago Actually if you follow the Rockets fansite Clutchfans most fans are happy with Lin's performance so far: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/forumdisplay.php?f=9 Lin's stats have been improving every month since his knee injury. He was also a key reason why the Rockets continued winning while Harden was out with injury. Lin has a high upside potential. He attracts a huge Asian fanbase for the Rockets. Reply0 OUTSPOKENTRUTH2 hours ago He's still recovering from the knee injury/surgery. I've hyper-extended my knee ligaments 1 1/2 years ago and I still feel it swollen every so often (thats without surgery). Can you even imagine what Lin is feeling with his? Plus he was adjusting to a new team and players. His stats are improving every month since. In fact he his doing quite well lately even without Harden. All the NBA "experts" last year predicted that Rockets would be at least 1.5 away from postseason. They were ALL WRONG! Now they are in the playoffs! You and alot of ignorant folks forget that he's a team player (he doesn't care about scoring high; he cares only to get the team to win). His dedication to team will make his team great! You'll see.
