• 火箭有一个中产阶级条款可用（下赛季大约5百万），可以用来签一个马上就能用的大前锋。但是过高的期望只是画饼，什么马绍尔，钱德勒，墨菲等都是要拿顶薪或接近顶薪的。
• 火箭有一个首轮第24位选秀权，顺位太低，不太可能选到像样的大前锋。
