小袄参加BETA CLUB有半年了，这个组织入会条件是GPA要在3.5以上，还得品学兼优，仿佛能加入到这个组织是项荣誉。

第一次的迎新大会上才知道，组织活动跟学习成绩没任何关系，重点是在培养克服困难、勇于挑战的能力，服务社区的热情，团队精神和领导才能。

做义工的机会有很多，目前小袄做过的有家庭作业辅导员、学校大型活动的前期准备工作、为动物收容所募捐募物，做的最多最开心的是在教堂里当保育员，每周一次，三个小时，每次回来都能带回好多故事。

“我喜欢这个工作。我和他们玩，好多好多玩具。我是厨师，他们吃什么我就做什么。。。。”

“XX只让我抱，只跟我玩，我还给他还换尿布了。。。。”

“有个小BABY好哭，抱起来就停，一放下就哭，所以一直得抱着，抱到他睡着了也不敢动，胳膊好酸啊。。。。”

。。。。。。

。。。

小袄问：“妈妈，我小时候怎么样的？爱哭吗？”

“嗯，前几个月爱，后来就好了。那时候也是要人抱，横着抱还不行，得竖起来。有个没当妈妈的阿姨给我出主意，把你和枕头捆绑在一起，靠墙角立着。”

“啊？妈妈你听她的话了吗？”

我怎么会舍得呢？我一直主张孩子是要多抱的，累死也就抱那三两年，以后，现在，碰都不让碰了。

“那弟弟呢？你把弟弟立墙角了吗？”，小袄显然对自己过去的表现不满意，这是要找个垫背的。

“弟弟不哭，弟弟吃饱喝足就开始哼哼唧唧地唱歌，妈妈忙么，他就自己给自己唱催眠曲，唱着唱着就睡着了。”

上天体恤我，给了我两个乖孩子。

                I was placed in the kindergarten rooms for the first service, and the toddler room for the second. If you’ve ever been a teacher aid for kindergarteners, it’s actually pretty entertaining, other than the fact that the children are very messy. 

              I spent most of the morning picking up toys that had been scattered across the room, those kids know how to throw everything. One minute it’ll be perfectly quiet, and in the other minute there’d be plastic cars and dolls flying through the air.  I was a little glad to leave for second service, though.

            The toddlers in second service were adorable. There was a 2-year-old boy called Joshua who wouldn’t let anyone but me play with him. He would always run up to me with a book in his hand and demand that I read it to him. I can’t remember the number of books I had to read to him. It had to be at least 15. By 12:00, he had already fallen asleep in my lap. I felt a little sad when I had to leave, because I thought I’d never see him again. I was wrong.

This Sunday was my fourth time going there. I was in the toddler section with TWELVE boys and girls! Five in the first service, seven in the second. I recall a few of their names. Libby, Joshua, Andrew, MJ, and Nora. I forgot the other seven toddler’s names.

            The first service that day was VERY tiring. I had to feed them cheerios, milk, and water, give them more if they were still hungry, I had to help the teacher change diapers and clean their hands, and I had to keep all of the toddlers happy. If any of them cried, I would have to carry them until they stopped. The second service was a bit calmer. There weren’t any snacks, diaper changes, or crying. But Andrew got tired and fell asleep after I held him.

            Soon, the shift was over and I was free to go home. Right when I came back, I jumped into my bed and fell asleep. Wonder why...
