實用英語探討： always 後面能用動詞過去時態嗎？

Always 一般來說常用描述發生於所有時間內的事件，所以always後面通常用動詞現在時態  simple present tense。  過去國內的英語教學，通常強調的是這一點。 但是，現在一個常見的問題是，always 後面能不能也用動詞過去時態simple past tense嗎？ 因為如果你常讀英語刊物的話，always 後面也用動詞過去時態也是非常常見的用法。 比如。"I always thought" 就是一個常見句型，google 一下，有上億人次在發表文章的時候用 "I always thought"。其他如 "I always did＂ 也都是常見用法。

“Always” and “never” can be used with a simple past tense verb, although they are more often used with verbs in the perfect tenses, the simple present tense or simple future tense. Here are some examples of the use of these two adverbs with simple past tense verbs:
