明天晚上就會看到一年一度的奧斯卡金像獎頒獎儀式。今年有兩部電影在提名中遙遙領先，一部是《Hugo》，一部就是《藝術家》。碰巧，此兩部電影的題材都是關於電影形式發展的歷史和人們對電影藝術的熱愛。在提名的角逐中，《Hugo》獲十一項題名，《藝術家》獲十項提名。《Hugo》在提名獎項數量上勝出有些出乎人們的意料，但《藝術家》獲最佳影片獎幾乎已是定局。

由法國導演邁克爾-哈扎納維希烏斯(Michel Hazanavicius) 執導的電影《藝術家》講述的是一個好萊塢由無聲電影轉向有聲時期發生的故事。那是十九世紀二十年代的事了。英俊的有婦之夫喬治瓦倫丁（George Valentin) 是無聲電影的偶像。他在其一部最新影片的首映式上遇到了女演員佩碧米勒（Peppy Miller)。兩人一見鍾情。隨後，在喬治的下一部電影中，佩碧獲得一個小舞女的角色。兩人在電影拍攝過程中，戀情升溫。隨着有聲電影的到來，佩碧的演繹生涯蒸蒸日上，成為一個耀眼的新星。而喬治的境遇正相反，由於他拒絕有聲電影的理念，無法適應從無聲到有聲這一電影業劃時代的巨變，他的演藝事業江河日下。由於有聲電影的到來，和1929年的大蕭條，他的一部無聲電影慘遭失敗，他的無聲事業就此劃上了句號。他是否能重整旗鼓呢？真愛是否能戰勝事業線的顛覆？您自己去找答案吧。。。。。。

法國戛納電影節最佳男演員獎獲得者讓·杜雅戈丹（Jean Dujardin) 在影片中飾演喬治。讓是一位法國演員和喜劇表演家。讓出演過喜劇，演過冒險家，演過舞蹈家，而今又成功的飾演了一個無聲電影偶像。他對各種截然不同角色的成功演繹顯示了他無所不能的表演天才。他被提名角逐今年奧斯卡的最佳男主角獎。貝熱尼絲-貝喬(Bérénice Bejo)是阿根廷和法國混血兒。她在影片中和讓天衣無縫的配合為她贏得了今年奧斯卡最佳女配角的提名。讓和貝喬能否因《藝術家》而獲奧斯卡獎讓我們拭目以待。《藝術家》獲得的十項提名分別是：
