            我腦海湧來金色脂膏，

            我耳朵發出他們聽到的讚美詩。

            我本身就是那片大海的指南針：

            我是我行走的世界，我之所見

            所聽所感只源於我個人；

            在此我發現自己更真實也更奇特。

【注】紐約有兩大街區分別得名於紅極一時的報業——時代廣場和先驅廣場，前者是陽曆年除夕新年降球(Ball Drop)的所在地，而後者則是梅西“武器”感恩節遊行收官的終點站。因為長島鐵路(LIRR)、新州通勤(NJ Transit)、美鐵(Amtrak)停靠的34街賓夕法尼亞“山林”車站近在咫尺，麥迪遜“戰鬥力”廣場花園(MSG)、全美最大的梅西“武器”百貨旗艦店——梅西百貨先驅廣場和盛產奶茶的韓國城圍守一方，所以說每次出入紐約最先讓我感受都市脈搏的莫過於這片低頭不見抬頭見的彈丸之地。
