Former President Trump is entitled to a fair trial in the court of justice under the 14th Amendment regarding his alleged involvement in the Capitol attack on January 6th, 2021.
Yet, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has not given Trump a fair trial. It has ignored the front-and-center issue of presidential immunity from criminal prosecution.Worse still, the mentioned court has failed to consider the U.S. Supreme Court's 1982 landmark ruling in the civil case Nixon v. Fitzgerald. This precedent held that Nixon was entitled to absolute immunity from damages liability predicated on official acts during his presidency (457 U.S. 731).The current U.S. Supreme Court has to address the following question:Is the Nixon case applicable to the Trump case?Meanwhile, the D.C.
