The end of the last ice age and the end of paleolithic age 

It just occurred to me that the end of Paleolithic age coincided with the end of the last ice age. It can’t be a coincidence. The end of ice age increases the resource base. This stimulates the progress to a higher fixed cost system, neolithic age.

There were earlier periods of the ending of ice ages. Why didn’t neolithic age occur earlier? I guess it was because Homo Sapiens didn’t gain dominance until shortly before the ending of  the last ice age. Only homo sapiens were smart enough to polish delicate stone tools.
