我女儿今年11岁,喜欢读巫婆的书, 看巫婆的动画片,收"Harry Potter"和日本动画片的害极深.这是她的一篇作文:
Prologue
On a bright July Sunday in the 1520’s, the church bell rang solemnly, as if it already knew that day was destined to be the saddest of all sad days.
The house on the block was the fancy mansion owned by the Kaishi’s, a family that had just moved to London from a faraway and unpopular land, known as the volcano island, Japan.
The story began on that particular day, July 17th, 1520. Kaishi Yurion was in the den reading a thick, dusty book. Obviously, she had no idea what unfortunate fate awaits her.
Then the doorbell rang.
It rang again and again.
Knowing the tune well, Yurion walked slowly down the stairs and opened the door.
At the door, it was her uncle, Kaishi Yurai.
“Well, please do come in,” Yurion greeted. “What a surprise to see you on a wonderful day like this—you do not visit me often.” Yurai nodded in return.
Yurai stepped into the house and looked around. A fancy place, he thought. I will have it for myself.
“So, what do you want anyways?”
“Why, can’t I come just to visit my little niece?”
“You wouldn’t come and leave easily. There is always something you want.”
“Well come to the think of it, there is something I’ve always wanted…”
Yurai talked to Yurion for a long, long time.
“What? I can’t give you my powers. I have to have them to live.”
“So your answer is ‘no’?”
“No, I can not give you my powers.”
“Then do you have any last words?”
Yurion scowled with pain. An incredible dark matter hit her.
“So… you’ve been into black magic all this time?”
“Ah, yes. That was why I needed your powers.”
“You—you fool! It is insane to start a coven!”
“Insane? We’ll see about that!”
The room filled with dark light—or what ever it might be—and Yurion left her body. But, even though no one has heard, she had made a silent vow to slay the descendents of the Kaishi family—but only ones with powers like herself.
Then five hundred years passed…

Fall has come. The fresh breeze flooded the Osaka train station.
With a loud steaming noise, the machine paused on the track. The door slid open, and a girl stepped on the smooth marble ground.
She has traveled mainly in two places. From where she grew up, the famous city of London, England, to her birthplace and where she graduated university, often said to be the second capital of Japan, Osaka.
But she is going to neither of those places.
This time, she was sent to Tokyo to work at the C.S.D. branch, C.S.D.J. Known as an incredible 15-year-old computer genius, Yumi was famous all over Japan and England. But what awaits her in Tokyo she does not know.
Hours passed by…
After stopping at Nagoya, Hamamatsu, Yokohama and Kawasaki, the girl—or Kaishi Yumi, was warned that Tokyo was the next stop, so she got up and dragged her luggage with her.
The door slid open and Yumi stepped outside. Tokyo was different from Osaka: so fancy, busy and high-tech. Overwhelmed, Yumi came out of the train station and started to look for her hotel.
Walking down the streets of Tokyo, Yumi fitted her hands in her pocket. It has only been October, but it was much more cooler in Tokyo than Osaka… maybe because Tokyo is in the northern part of Japan, Yumi thought silently to herself.
When at last she arrived at the hotel she was looking for, she went inside and was relieved that the heater was on. Slowly, she walked towards the service table and stopped. She waited. Then the server spoke.
“Can I help you with anything, miss?”
“If you won’t mind, would you please lead me to my room?”
“Sure—just give me one second,” the girl was rather young—but older than Yumi. Her dark hair fell over her shoulders and she sat down to check the schedule on the screen. “Your name, please?”
“Kaishi Yumi.”
“Ms.Kaishi! What a pleasure to meet you in person! Heard you came over to work at the C.S.D.J.! Well, I do hope you enjoy it here.” She said as she led Yumi into a rather gloomy hall with doors spaced out on each side.
Arriving at the last room down the hall, the girl opened the door after slashing a card through a device, and then pressing buttons that ???? a password. After Yumi went inside, the waitress handed her the card, told her where the password can be found, and closed the door gently.
Tired from the voyage, Yumi fell on her bed and went to sleep immediately.
Then—there was a shadow very much like her own—someone stood in front of her, but it was too blurry to see who; she turned around and looked at her, as if she was trying to tell her something; and almost as if she hated her, in a way; she came closer and closer, and then—
Yumi woke with a start. There was cold sweat on her forehead, and on her back, too.
“A warning.” Yumi whispered to herself.

* * *
Yumi came out of the green taxi and checked the address. When she was sure she came to the right place, she walked through the open gate and climbed up the stairs. Pushing the front doors, she went in slowly and silently.
Stepping into the elevator, Yumi checked her paper again, pressed “4” and the doors shut tightly in the front.
After she arrived, she pushed the doors on the opposite side of the hallway and found herself facing a fairly large office. Just then, a middle-aged man greeted forward.
“Hello! You must be Ms.Kaishi! I am the manager here. You can call me the chief. Now, our boss awaits you at the office to the right.”
“Thank you very much, mister. I am looking forward to working here. Now if you would please excuse me…”
“Oh sure! Well, I guess I’ll see you later then.”
After talking to Mr.Taishichi, the boss of the C.S.D.J., Yumi went to the lab to meet her partners.
As soon as she went into the lab, everyone’s eyes were on her: people started whispering. But at last, a woman stood up and spoke.
“Oh you—you must be Kaishi Yumi. Hello and welcome to the C.S.D.J. We are all very excited about having you in the development. Now, may we introduce ourselves :I am Mori Kay. I’m the professor in-charge.” Professor Mori said in a comfortable tone of voice.
Then the professor introduced the other professors, and doctors, and experts, “And finally,” she added. “This is Takachi Kaiyo, a student sent from the university here—“
And with a flash, the lights went off.
Then on again.
Then off.
On.
Off.
And on.
“Oh it has come again!” the professor’s voice was no longer calm. She was horrified. “Everyone out!”
“Oh please, professor, I don’t understand what’s going on—”
“Quick! There’s no time to explain!”
So then everyone ran out and Yumi was last. Suddenly. Just suddenly. Memories of last night’s dream came flashing back. And she stopped. The lights stopped flashing, too. It almost seems the force—what ever it might be—has got what is wants.
“Come out. I’m the one you want.” Yumi spoke in a strangely calm voice.
“Come. Come to me.”
Then a shadow appeared. It was exactly like the shadow she dreamt of last night. Then she thought it looked familiar.
“Who—who are you? What do you want from me?”
“I am Yurion.”
Yumi was totally shocked. Yurion. Kaishi Yurion. People used to say that she was the reborn of her ancestor, Yurion. She also saw her photo in England, too.
“Yurion? What—what do you want from me?”
“I want to KILL YOU!” Her beautiful voice had suddenly turned into a high-pitched scream.
Taken back by the words, Yum stepped back with fear. But she always had her powers to protect her.
“I don’t want to hurt you, Yurion, but if you insisted on hurting me, then I must.”
Yurion didn’t wait for to speak. A flash of pitch black light—or whatever it might be—blasted from her opened out-stretched hand. Knowing the attack was strong, Yumi did the same, except it was pure light, and much more beautiful than Yurion’s darkness.
The attacks hit and exploded. Knowing it was not enough to finish Yumi, Yurion created balls of darkness time after time, and whenever that happened, Yumi blocked then with her powers, and they would disappear against an imaginary wall.
It kept on going. But Yumi knew that she this can’t keep on going forever. Yurion has to give up. Somehow.
Then she remembered the book she read. If a piece of chalk handled by a person with powers of light and he or she drew a circle around himself or herself about nine foot in diameter, the darkness won’t dare break through. And if it did, the darkness would vanish.
Looking around the lab, Yumi found a piece of chalk. She tried drawing the circle as fast as possible, but Yurion wasn’t far away from her and tried to stop her. Just a few centimetres left. Come on. A bit more…
SNAP!
Yurion crushed the material into powders. She entered the circle. Yumi was terrified but said nothing. But then—the powders of chalk were able to ???? a line
And with a blinding flash of light…
Yurion’s shadow dissolved into light. And with gratefulness, Yumi was able to make out Yurion’s charming smile.
Darkness. Destroyed.
