“不應在任何科學期刊上發表”的文章發表在PRB上

一年半前導師和我做了個簡單的工作,發現了目前為止用在某物理模型中的某計算方法都是有問題的,導師認為這工作很重要,於是打算投PRL（Physical Review Letters）,嘗試打破PRL 0的紀綠.不過現實是殘酷的,還沒審稿,編輯就以"不能引見廣范興趣"和"英語不行"為由直接退稿.

之後經過申訴,給審稿人審了幾次,誰都說文章不行,甚至有個說"文章不應在任何科學期刊上發表",其實他們根本沒看懂.此時已經和審稿人在罵起來了,搞到審稿人都火了.可能由於我們比較堅持,最後再找多一人來審稿,他以"不關心什麼方法失敗,只關心什麼方法能給正確結果"為由,認為文章太過trivial,建議寫成PRB的brief report重新投稿.我導師此時也沒有辦法了,只好這樣,免得最後文章發表不了.

因為轉了期刊,又要重新審稿,搞了一輪,審稿結果是一個接受一個要修改.要我們修改那位仁兄說,"論文論據不夠充分咧,建議寫為full paper,再加什麼什麼進去"...當場吐了幾升血出來.不過也沒辦法,只好把論文從4版擴寫成9版,把什麼東西都塞進去,寫得很完整,就是沉悶了點,此時我經歷了上篇文章(DMRG那篇)的寫作,也知道了為什麼我們這篇文章的英文被編輯說寫得差了,原來我導師寫文章習慣漏寫冠詞.審稿人看了修改過的文章後,立即就大爽,說"significantly improved",心想你們倆還真聽話啊,也沒什麼要求了,改動幾隻字就OK了.

於是,用了一年三個月,多次申訴,轉了期刊和停工開工,論文終於被接受了 >.< 儘管此文我只是個第二作者,不過也非常高興,又克服了一個難關了~
