中国的基础教育重在方法,美国的基础教育重在理念. 象中国, 会让学生背九九表, 每个生字写三遍, 美国没有这些训练. 中国的考试重难度, 越难分越高; 美国的考试重基础, 越简单分越高. 美国是”因材施教”,学生可以”想”学什么就学什么, 反正有大学可上; 中国因”考”施教, 不管学生是否有兴趣. 中国”一日为师, 一生为父”,美国”一日为师, 一生为友”,所以, 我才说美国的学生可以不搽黑板, 也没有负咎感; 中国不一样, 学生不搽黑板就是”不尊”. 当然, 我也同意 “无为熊”的观点, 美国的学生需要”枯燥”训练, 要知道: 有所不为才能有所为.不过, 话说回来, 中国是把”枯燥训练”用于无数人, 美国是有数人自觉投入”枯燥”训练, such as the creator of Facebook, Mark, start his job from 13 with less social life, then he could get in H. If he is in China, I guess he could not get in any official college because he could not pass the examination, probably he would be viewed by teachers as a “bad” student since he played too much computer game.
