Fall of civilizations podcast

I really enjoy this podcast. The author is a great narrator. Each episode tells one story. I especially like the details he provides how people in the collapsing civilizations feel. Invariably it is excruciatingly painful.

A Brief History of Humankind is a popular book. In that book, the author Harari advocate an image of peaceful and relaxed decline and demise of the current dominant civilization. But the term of the demise is not set by the declining civilization. It is set by the advancing civilizations.
