From the 2 equations, we have a^2 >= 8b and b^2 >= a, therefore b^4>=a^2>=8b, hence b^3 >= 8, therefore, b >= 2, and a >=4. Since both a = 4 and b = 2 are achievable, therefore min(a+b) = 6. |
