Substitute x^2 = y/A into the second equation, we have y^2 - (4+1/A)y + 3 = 0. Since the (4 + 1/A)^2 > 4 * 3 for any A > 0, therefore there are always two positive roots for y, which means there are 2 roots of x for each y, hence a total of 4 pairs of roots. So the intersection points between two graphs is always 4. |
